Bonucci didn't leave because of lack of playing time, and losing his spot in starting XI to a superior player. He left because he was an arrogant douche, who thought to highly of himself. He learned his lesson and has been eating humble pie ever since.

Benatia left because he's a wimp who's afraid of competing for playing time. Probably why Allegri didn't play him much this year, and prefers Rugani instead. Realized the Moroccan Malaise had his sights set on Arab retirement league. Didn't want that pathetic attitude here any longer. :seven:
They both left for their attitude. But its fine since Bonucci is a Juve player still, even though he left to a direct rival and talked shit after. Post Doublestandardic :baus:

One of them is clearly better than other. Hence the reason he's here again, and the full-time starter, while the other is off to la la land. . :baus:

I can't think of better replacements than caceres tbh, solid veteran who knows the culture here
Garay? Mendes, Valencia, clause if it cant be done with negotiating. Basically, Spain is full of guys with clauses, we could have picked someone up. Caceres used to be good, but ita questionable what condition hes in currently as he barely plays

I don't even like Benatia per se, he has a big ego and he seems like one of those that embraces the French street culture "racaille" like Benzema for instance

But I do think some are being harsh with him, he's looking at his interest being 4th in the pecking order.

Guys we are talking insurance policy at best, both chiello and bonucci getting injured, most teams would have been a k with rugani and barza as enough cover
My issue with Rugani who i like as a player, hes not tested at the highest level yet. When you never play him in CL for years and then suddenly do when you are forced to. I hope hes ready to respond if needed

2 of those cover guys are semiretired and one is yet to receive significant playing time on the highest level. One injury from C-B and we might be done for in the CL. Replacing Benatia was an absolute must

Like playing him more than 5 games in 6 months? After he was a starter last season?

I dont know, who?
If C or B gets injured Rugani would step in, which he would even if Benatia was still here. Rugani is fine as a 3rd choice CB, and Barza and Caceres are fine as cover for Seria A, when one of the three aforementioned needs rest.
Wasting money on a 32 year old Garay, to our already ageing defense would be dumb. The management choose the low cost, short term option, with somebody who already knows the club and the league, as cover for half a year. Then in the summer we will address the defense and buy someone younger who will have the potential to become a starter here.

You think Allegri would start Rugani over a fit Benatia in a CL knock out game? Were you living under a rock the past 4.5 years?
