Actually the thing about Verratti is:
In terms of playing ability and the ability to spot a pass from miles away he can give us a great leap in quality
In terms of decisiveness you cant really compare him to Pogba
2014/15 season
Verratti 43games 3goals 9 assists
Pogba 44 games 12goals 7assists

2015/16
Verratti 25games 0goals 4assists
Pogba 49games 11goals 15assists

This season so far it seems it is repeating itself
The thing is Pogba plays in a more advanced role which makes him a more decisive player
Pogba is a better player compared to Verratti but even if Verratti is not as decisive as Pogba and maybe other players he could really give us the boost in midfield! The thing is Pjanic is not playing to his full potential and if it doesnt change I think we should replace him

Im thinking if this mid would be good enough compared to the giants of europe - Marchisio Nzonzi/Tolisso Verratti (assuming Pjanic is sold)

James Rodriguez could be a great addition as he is not fully adaptable to the Real Madrid system yet he contribute goals and assists whenever he can lots of few minutes?! doesnt matter..

The best we can hope for next season is Marchisio Nzonzi/Tolisso Verratti;Sanchez Higuain Dybala (or replace Sanchez with James)
Pretty sure the idea is to play Verratti as a regista and put Marchisio in his box-to-box role where he can be more decisive than Marco.

Talking about Verratti is a long stretch in itself, mentioning Tolisso, Verratti and James... :sergio:

Pjanic looks like he enjoys the free role in front of a mid-4. I haven't seen him deliver the same quality in a mid-3 or as a mezz'ala so simply keep him there and surround him with 2 players capable of infiltrating much more... Marchisio and Tolisso for instance. With the pricetag Tolisso and Verratti hzve, that will not hapoen 'though. Maybe N'Zonzi, just maybe.

Verratti doesn't play regista for PSG. Motta is the deepest midfielder for them. Marchisio won't go back to b2b if he ever comes here.

:tuttosport:
I know he doesn't play regista at PSG and I know Marchisio is probably the only working thing in midfield. But seeing as Marchisio was moved away in the Coppa and our dynamism shot much higher all of a sudden, it's definitily worth thinking about it.

Plus the regista position at Juve would suit Verratti so much better. If we are looking for a mezz'ala we should definitily stay away from Verratti. He's expensive as fuck and we need a much more dynamic player.

Reports are saying we're looking for a regista and a mezz'ala. I guess it's quite straight forward with Verratti and Tolisso/N'Zonzi/Dahoud.

True

But this is a moot discussion anyway since Verratti is a fantasy and virtually impossible :baus:

Juventus are readying an €80m offer for PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.

The Bianconeri are reportedly looking to invest heavily in their midfield with various reports in Italy suggesting Beppe Marotta is in the market for a mezz’ala and regista in the summer.

With this in mind, Corriere dello Sport report that Juve are readying a ‘Higuain-style’ assault by making an €80m for Italy international Marco Verratti.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said Bayern Munich “will take our time” deciding whether to buy Kingsley Coman from Juventus.

The young French talent arrived in June 2015 on a two-year loan worth €7m with option to buy for another €21m.

“As of today our intention is to activate the option, but we still have time to think about it, as it won’t expire until April,” Bayern director Rummenigge told Bild.

“The lad has been convincing, but last season did better than this one, as he was affected by injuries.”

Comanback?
