Why is everyone fapping over line-ups with Verratti in them again? The chance of getting him is infinitesimal.
He will join us in a year or two, say that his time with PSG was only a holiday and that he is finally home now. We'll be happy at first but he'll begin playing for us in a two-player midfield and completely suck. The only thing that will stand out will be the hairstyles he switches for each game.

i think youre underrating Verrattis defensive capabilities, if you think replacing Khedira with him in our current setup wouldnt work or that we as Juve would never do it. Verratti had 1.7 tackles and 1.4 interceptions per game last season in Ligue 1, and 3.6 tackles, 2.2 interceptions in CL, while playing for the team that holds possession for majority of the time in most their games (Khedira whom he would replace in our starting trio had 0.8 tackles and 1 interception per game in Serie A, and 0.3 tackles, 1.8 interception per game in CL). also, the guy is always among the top runners in his team whenever i watch him play. sure hes no physical beast like Vidal but he more than makes up for it with his good positioning and ground covering. there would absolutely be no problems for us defensively with him and Marchisio next to Pjanic, we would dominate most/all games like we do now when we play our strongest lineup. besides, physicality is the most overrated thing in football ever. id take a Pjanic-Fabregas-Verratti midfield over a Nainggolan-Matic-Kante one every time.
I never said anything about being defensively weak if I'm not mistaken. It's attacking and infiltrating power I'm worried about. And physicality is one of THE most important assets in todays game. You only have to look at the last euros for confirmation.

Euros are an irrelevant tournament, players get together for a few weeks and play bunch of games in a short period, nothing to base your argument on. about the bolded part, how much of it do we have now? we lost Pogba and while it was noticeable so far that we lack his presence in midfield, we are setting up our play differently now and are slowly adapting to a style without him. once Max gets his ideas through fully (usually takes a while when getting 3-4 new starters in), this midfield will dominate games. the Pjanic-Marchisio-Verratti midfield would be the most complete and most dominant in Europe, having the characteristics to play any kind of game. possession, defend deep - counter, high pressing, whatever you want. Marchisio and Verratti can change positions at DM-RCM, they can form a 2 man midfield behind Pjanic as AM, so many different varieties we would have. there is simply no valid reason as to why we shouldnt be all over him if he suddenly, by some miracle was to become available

Marchisio; verratti, Pjanic behind Dybala and Higuain

With sex and dani on the wings

Lol, we'd have like a billion ways to create chances.

Too bad we never will probably see that trio in midfield together with AS and DA at the same time. If we ever were to get Marco, it surely wouldnt be in the next 3 seasons and by then Dani would be gone. A shame really

True that. A few more goals + fancy celebrations afterwards, and maybe Wenger will finally realize his dream - get a 16 yo player for 100M

Whether they came together 356 times or twice last year is irrelevant. The opponents dealt with the same and they were physically overpowered.

Indeed our midfield now is missing useful infiltrations as well and again that's part of why we need upgrades. You're twisting and turning quite a bit all while speculating we'll adapt while Allegri is even testing Cuadrado in center midfield to increase the attacking and running impetus, which quite frankly is simply disturbing.

Allegri was testing a 4-2-3-1 / 4-4-2 hybrid, thats what he did. For that, he needed to sub in Cuadrado and Pjaca
Because Pjanic had to go off at half time, he introduced Cuadrado earlyer and made him play midfield for a while, and then move to the actual desired formation when he introduced Pjaca

Although I cant say I dislike the option of pkayong Cuads on the middle, we certainly could use someone with speed and flair there
Cuadrado is more versatile than Allegri gives him credit for, I think. He played all over the pitch for Fiorentina.
Striker: 4 matches
LAM: 13 matches
CAM: 18 matches
RAM: 18 matches
CM: 1 match
RM: 1 match
RWB: 41 matches

I'd say pretty damn versatile.
