i checked some random players off the list on transfermarkt: dahoud is valued at 15m, kovacic at 20m, feghouli at 14m, etc.

anyway, there are some fapworthy players on the list. dahoud is on the top of my wishlist (alongside fabinho). also, masina is the finest young italian left back i've seen in the last couple of years.

Those values are created by the users of Transfermarkt.
Any User(just create an account are you're able to do this as well) can go into the seperate threads for those players and write down the number they think that certain player's worth is.
They'll then update those numbers using the middle ground or something close to that.

It has nothing to do with reality and what you actually have to pay for those players. Those are numbers that will be negotiated by the clubs, until they agree, and can't really be estimated before anyways, given the current market and all the money being brought in by those english clubs.

It's really sad that media, even foreign commentators, keep talking those 'values' like they're real.

If the parameter is a 3 men midfield with DM - box to box CM - creative CM, ideally you need 3 top quality/experienced starters + 3 good rotation players, preferably with upside to become starters.

As it is, I think we are fine in the box-to-box, specially if Khedira can regularly play. Lemina is good enough and has enough upside to play RCM when Khedira can't.

We need a DM to backup Marchisio (or rotate) and a creative CM to play when Pjanic can't.

But we are clearly going for a box to box, which I don't agree with. It will take space out of Lemina's development and will not provide creativity when Pjanic cant play.

Unless the plan is really move to a pyramid 1-2-1 midfield, with Marchisio - Matuidi/Witsel - Khedira - Pjanic midfield. Pjanic as an AM and Dybala as a roaming SS or trequartista.

those values probably are more from the perspective how much would you pay for the guy not how much would you have to pay to get him
I always feel like transfermarkt figures are kind of fair starting points for the valuation of players, like an opening bid for hypothetical transfers, in a scenario where the market wasn't inflated by other factors. Obviously the valuation of a player is determined by others things - interest of other teams (notably whether a PL team is interested), wealth of the selling club, player desire, etc.

Agent: 'Verratti not at PSG forever'
By Football Italia staff

Marco Verratti’s agent warns “it’s unlikely he’ll play his entire career at Paris Saint-Germain, as he’ll seek new adventures.”

The midfielder has never played in Serie A and moved to France at the age of 19.

“It is unlikely to think he’ll play his entire career at Paris Saint-Germain,” agent Donato Di Campli told So Foot.

“It’s an issue of motivation. Every now and then a player has to seek out new adventures.

“That doesn’t mean we are thinking of a change of scenery right now, because Verratti hopes to continue here as long as possible, but one day we will have to face up to this possibility.”

Verratti: "If one day I decide to leave the PSG, I do not hide that I would go back to Italy, but for now I think not".

Its just a case of when he leave chooses to leave Paris but if he only wants Italy then we should be favourites to sign him.
