that is a very bad decision. infact, i hated the pay rise he is getting when we first signed arthur, dig up if you have time. marotta is still the mastermind behind our financial collapse though.
the mastermind? he did it on purpose?

our wage bill was sustainable before marotta left, and became terribly inflated once paratici took over. ronaldo was the catalyst, after his arrival, you couldn't sign anyone on normal wages. pretty simple for me. meanwhile, inda's squad became the strongest and started winning. you can argue it's all conte, and that's a good point, but nobody else would have brought conte to inda, only marotta. remember how the inda leadership was opposed to it. agnelli was an idiot for firing marotta, and an even bigger idiot for not putting an anti-inda clause in his contract.

Frankie De Jong available for 40M pounds. It's an amount we can hardly spend, but it almost guarantees a De Ligt extension if we would want one.

Can he play in front of the defense in this team? I think if there was any possibilities we should go for it. Dybala might just give us the financial freedom to do it. Qualification for CL is a must though.

I find this hard to believe. What's the source for this?

The proof in the pudding is that Marotta built teams that didn’t miss a step after Conte left, bitching and crying like a little baby. Conte did everything he could to throw a wrench in the works while leaving both clubs. Trashing the confidence of Juve by repeatedly telling the media we didn’t have expensive enough players to compete with big clubs and then fucking off after preseason began, and then doing much the same at the end of his Inter tenure. And yet the next coach came in, and even with multiple key player losses for Inzaghi before even arriving, and for Allegri every single summer after the first, kept winning domestically and massively improved in cup comps and Europe. Marotta built teams that kept on winning. Did they have their issues? Yep. And he has his. But he built well-balanced, winning squads that were also competitive at the very highest level.

Frenkie De Jong usually dropped in at Ajax as the extra CB during games, he’s very strong on the ball. If anything, when we had Romero and Demiral on our books it would have been better if we had signed him since our midfield has been crying out for a player of his ilk for some years now.similarly De Ligt would have been a more appropriate signing for Barca- funny how it goes eh.

Anyway, I think there’s 0% possibility of seeing him here.

Found links on DailyMail connecting him with Chelski. Their bid was supposedly even lower and it is true Barca has a lot of promising youngsters that can deputize. Couldn't be arsed to find which 'rumors den' its been copied from... ops, wait found it: El Nacional Catalonia

Wouldn't be hard to believe or spread this theory. He has a huge salary and Barca are taking the long term approach. They have a lot of promising youngsters too that I wouldn't mind us getting our hands on, but we are the least of their issues. They must feed them game time or risk loosing them and , well, they are certainly not savvy on finding value on the market.
