you only have to look at how much he spends on players to sit on our bench in comparison to those who actually make a positive impact on the team, you begin to worry he will go trigger happy buying a new squad filled with more depth
Having good deph is essencial for any team playing 3 competitions. If you have 20-30m to buy players, it is very very difficult to find players that would garantee to improve the squad. But of course if playing manager in fifa 15 is how you think it works in the real world, your bond to be disapointed. I really hope you wasnt one of the ppl wanting iturbe here, blaming marotta for not paying what is going to be around 30m in the end..

And how do we do that without money to invest in top players? By adding Sneijder and Pereyra to our squad?
i said it, by improving in the CL > increasing our revenue/being able to attract and sign "top players". how do we improve in the CL? well, for the start we would have to get a few easier draws (like Bayern had in those 2 finals prior to their 2013 title, or Real every year under Mourinho) to establish ourselves as a regular CL contender. in all other aspects i see no big problems, we are improving very well, its only the CL (the most important thing) that scares me

what Dule said in his post earlier. be able to find and produce our own WC players. Berardi, Morata and Coman a good start, Sturaro and Rugani too, but we need to improve more in this...
But in order to win games we need Tevez and Chiellini on the field. Pretty hard to develop talents and winning at the same time. We're too dependent on a well performing Tevez to bench him, i'll give Allegri that..

No i realise that teams need depth however we've been adding depth for 5 seasons now and worse more we're spending more money per player just to sit on our bench than using the money to actually improve our starting 11 to maintain a winning cycle

Vidal is 27, Pogba 21...do we opt to sell Vidal instead?
I would with a heavy heart.
We'll practically be forced to sell one in 2016 to replace Barzagli, Pirlo, Evra, Tevez...IF the Elkanns(and the won't) pump money in the club or suddenly make billions.

    no thanks. both are important.
Eventually it's bound to happen, folks. Unless we suddenly see a massive explosion of youth that are too good to not play we are going to sell one of them soon enough so the sooner we come to terms with it the better.

yeah, im not saying replace our entire starting XI with young players. the key is finding them, ensuring them enough playing time (if not here then at a loan) and slowly introducing them to the 1st team. Morata for example might as well become a starter next season, Berardi might do so the season after, then Coman etc. thats the way to go. for every time we subbed in a Padoin (the most useless substitute ever used) we could have given a Morata or Coman a chance.

why do we have to sell one of them? whats the urge here so everyone "wants" to see one of them go?

Well in 2006 Camoranesi said it would take 10 years to get Juve back to where we were in 2006 as a team. That leaves us another year to reach that if you were to go by his theory.

It's not illegal to consider the impact of wages you know...

Our board has given large salaries to some players. Which quite frankly is needed if we want to make a step up. But we've never spent big in transfer capital on those same guys.

All the so-called expensive transfers like Pereyra or Bonucci don't even pay for what Vidal, Buffon, Tevez, Pogba, etc... earn in 1,5 year.

wow, i cant believe how accurate Camo's prediction was

there is no urge from anyone. No body wants to sell either but it might be necessary to get the funds to fill the gaps in other areas.
we have no gaps. we are double covered in all positions and i can see us doing only one signing in the summer (bar our own players)

    Sarcasm about Camo's prediction?

And by gaps I mean actually playing players in the right position or having the right players for certain positions.
