I'd rather try to sign Pastore and revive him than buy Sneijder at this point.
unfortunately had we not pissed psg off with coman and tapped up rabiot, pastore might have been a viable option unfortunately to say he's not exactly quick neither but thats another matter

To think Wolfsburg signed De Bruyne for 22mil and we're paying 15m for Pereyra.

"But even if we had 22 mil, we can't afford his salary"

Now look at Pereyra's:

:numnum:
look at it this way, shaqiri will be sold for about 15 mill, is pereyra really as good as shaqiri? no of course not

All our best signings have pretty much been a pure strike of luck. Not even the most optimistic person in the world would think Pirlo would have such an impact. We brought him because 1. He was a freebie and 2. Italian and that's Marotta's preferred combination.

Don't even mention Pogba, there was no way we knew he was gonna turn out as he did, he barely had any playing time at United, again pure luck. Barzagli, pretty much a reject. We don't take risks. Instead there goes money out the window on players WE know won't be good enough, not even potentially. Tevez was another reject and luckily for us has found a new home in Italy. Vidal was a good player who turned into a beast, an excellent signing but not a risky one.

Morata is the only exception in recent times that we've taken a risk and we're still waiting to see if it pays off. If it does, that's the kind of approach we should've been using.

Had it not been for Raiola offering Pogba to us i doubt he would be ours but otherwise i agree with what you said

id even take ilicic ahead of sneijder :D
:D ok not so sure about that.

Maybe not fast but he'd actually offer something we badly need and that's pretty great creativity and vision. His technique is also pretty damn great. He used to be great at Palermo so I'd take the risk easily. Not to mention he's like 5 years younger than Sneijder too and his best age is yet to come.

But yeah, you're right about the PSG thing.

Wait, are you suggesting our club is at fault for pissing PSG off?

Also, its PSG's fault for losing Coman on a free and almost losing Rabiot.

Don't take things out of context, read the whole post "we don't have money BUT if we had".

I could name 20 better players for that role in a blink of an eye, but for what "we can't afford them".
Take what out of context? I asked you a question about who is better and more experienced to bring if we had money. Maybe you took my two word question out of context.

That's so true, we were simply lucky and Marotta had nothing to do with it. This time around, past summer, he did not get lucky and it is now obvious that his signings were terrible.

Then I'll answer you:

Mata (whom i don't like but has been playing good football again)
Kagawa (not the top player he once was but a much better option than both)
Mkhitarian
Coutinho
Firmino
Isco

To name a few. In the Bundesliga alone you could find at least 10 good promising and talented youngsters playing the attacking mid role. Meyer is a name that comes to mind, De Bruyne as mentioned above and Calhanoglu who's been having a good debut season at Leverkusen.
