Thanks Mark. :D

I heard Inter are close to Baselli and Zappacosta. I don't really mind losing Baselli, but Zappa has consistently been looking good and with Lichtsteiner aging he could be a good pickup.

I need to see more of him. Looked ok when I saw him a couple of times last year. For free it wouldn't hurt I guess. I'd love to get Kurzawa though.

On Abate, I think he could be a useful wingback. While his defensive characteristics aren't quite strong enough to play as a fullback on a great team, I have no doubt that his pace, skill, and above average defensive capabilities (compared to a midfielder would make him quite useful. He had an excellent 2010-2011, and frankly any player on Milan looked terrible last year, other than Nigel De Jong (who seemed to be the only player who could defend at times).

I would want to bring in two players though if Lichtsteiner leaves. You don't want to rely on him as your only option.

Licht if he does leave I bet goes to Munich. That team needs fullbacks because they want Lahm to play midfield, and they wanted him for Shaqiri apparently.

On a sidenote: Anyone watching Graziano Pelle? He is a straight up beast. He's going to get called up by Conte for sure.
    :howler:

If he does continue though, I don't see why Conte wouldn't call him up.

Although I don't expect him replicate that again.

He was put on notice to be called up by Conte.
I'm bullish on him - maybe I'll be wrong. But if he keeps popping goals, he will get called up.

He's actually the type of striker that Conte probably wants:
-He is a giant who dominates in the air and is very difficult to knock off the ball.
-He is great at hold-up play.
    -He is incredibly strong.
-His workrate is high and he plays back to goal.
-He can score from a distance and is clinical from in the box.
    -He can set up plays.
-Also he is in incredible shape. Koeman's training regiment is not an easy one.

I could be wrong - but he looks like he's one heck of a late bloomer.

Here's a prediction: I'm fairly confident he'll pot more goals than Balotelli in the EPL this year.

And before anyone writes him off... Luca Toni didn't have his first big year in Serie A until 2004-2005, when he was 27. I'm not saying Graziano Pelle will even nearly approach that level, but I think its too early to write him off given the rate at which he has been scoring for the last two years, and since he arrived at Southampton. Pelle's first big year was in 2012-2013, when he was 27.

Just curious why is everyone so pessimistic on the guy? He hasn't played in Serie A in 3 years.

Hard to say for two reasons.

    1. He could still get injured anyday. It's very likely to happen.
    2. The league has reached almost amateurish levels, someone with a little more talent than the average player will find it easy to be in the spotlight.

But it's true he's been playing almost as good as he was before the first injury. He would be fantastic in Serie A. I'd go as far as to say he'd be a fantastic heir to Pirlo but his knees can't be trusted. They can go at anytime.

regarding CL - full team and must win big to get this fuking monkey off our back in this competition. Seriously we can't afford to slip up here. Win early on...good chance we can lose both games to atletico.

Insigne - on the fence with him, I think in the right environment he can be good. But im thinking if coman does the job and proves himself, maybe we don't need insigne.

Pochettino - never seen him play but always get a chubby over players being rumoured to us from Boca and river LOL. In saying that, I don't want to loan him, I hate loaning young talent. 90% of them stay on loan forever. over it.

Pretty sure he said he considers himself Argentinian and only wants to play for them.
He actually already rejected an offer from Prandelli. I wonder how did Marotta missed picking him up from Sampdoria., but he is a volatile character.

Juventus target Tomas Pochettino is waiting for the Italian citizenship, meanwhile he scored a free kick: here’s the video

Tomas Pochettino is almost ready to become a Juventus player. Boca Juniors’ Argentinian midfielder scored a free kick in the last game against River Plater in quinta division. Juventus are expected to complete the acquisition soon. He should be able to obtain the Italian citizenship in a couple of weeks thanks to his Piedmontese origins. After that, barring some surprises, he will arrive in Italy to join Juventus. He’ll move in January, Juvenuts are already in talks with Sassuolo for the loan.
The goals looks great. Quinta is 5th division is it ?
