Why is he crazy? He's done well for us for a while now. What's wrong with him? Just because he doesn't get along with Ranieri?
Zebina is an inconsistent player who usually prefers to use his muscles then his brain. I was completely with selling him before the start of the current campaign, and my theory was proved to be true at the beginning of the season. But he started to improve at a regular basis and he became our regular right back. I see that Ranieri preferred Zebina over Grygera in many matches this season, not because the former was simply better but because the latter was placed mainly at the centre defence (out of his position), thus he didn't perform well. A thing which made Ranieri loss confidence in him. Do you remember our match against Fiorentina?

When Grygera was placed as a full back (left this time) against Genoa, he started to gain Ranieri's confidence again.

And that's what we need imo. We need to replace all the defence bar Chiellini. Imagine if we have to play against Man Utd in the CL. I'd love to see Molinaro vs Ronaldo. :howler:
aye if we go into teh Cl with this back 4 next year we are gonna struggle big time

I hate to see Zebina leave, one of the coolest football players ever and a damn good RB especially at forward runs.
one of the most gangly, awkward, ungainly footballers i ahve ever seen. i admit i never used to like him but his performances have shown him to be top drawer, just a pity he is so inconsistent

sagnol? come on... you must be kidding. there's no way sagnol could bring us forward... he's a douche. Always complaining and people come on... he's just bad. He should retire or something. i don't want him here, even if he plays for free

He's better than what you have.
better than zebina or grygera? I highly doubt it... He's a douche nonetheless. Always complaining, on the pitch as well as off the pitch. I never liked him. Plus he's what, 31 now? Plus injury prone and just recovered from an injury and long not in his best shape... what the hell should we do with that??? Sorry man, but sagnol should play maybe another season in munich, and then retire. if klinsmann doesn't count on him for next season, he should just leave it there and retire immediately...

Before he joined us, Grygera stated that his favoured position was in the middle of the defense. He's too poor of a player in the middle though so he plays on the right, where he isn't as exposed. Mellberg and Zebina are both much better options on that position.

I would say that Zebina is not a good option for CB. Actually from what I gathered of his Roma days where he was used as a CB, I rank him only slightly above the legend that is Raul Bravo. A player whom in my book is the official worst footballer ever paid to play the game.

There's no problem if a player offers his services, I thank him for that.

I watched Zdenek play as a right back in both Ajax and with Czech, and he's good at it. Ranieri started Zebina on the right side because Zebina was already a regular player and Grygera could have proved himself if he wanted to play on the right instead of Zebina. But we faced too many troubles and defenders shortage all the season and Ranieri was trying to form a centre defence duo after Andrade's injury and the benching of Criscito, hence Ranieri had opted to place Grygera centrally until we landed another defender.

When Grygera took the chance to play at his original position, he's become a regular starter.

well the season Roma played 3 at the back (Zebina - Samuel - Chivu) they won their 1st Scudetto in I dunno how many years...so maybe he isn't that bad at CB
