This is how the winger rating system goes:

Average - Zenden and co.
Good - Camoranesi and co.
Very good - Zambrotta and co.
Class - Beckham and co.
I actually rate Zambro to be around Zenden's standards but maybe that's just me...

Question : now get real .. do you really think that a single man can face a whole team ? That's why I like goalies the most, because they are the most to face risks and all that. But still ... remeber WC 2002 and tell me what did Gian ? He was excellent indeed :touched: , God bless him, but they still lost ... with or without Nesta and the other ... They really have to change something in the team if they wanna get stronger.

The midfield is Italy's problem. The back-line is always class, and the keeper brilliant (if sometimes a little erratic), while there are usually a number of brilliant strikers or trequartistas (sp?), but the midfield is usually too ordinary. Guys like Di Biagio and Gattuso aren't as good as you think they are. If you had a real midfielder, Italy'd win everything.

Maybe. I want Holland to win all , not Italy :D J/k. Better I'd stop.

But you are right. Italy doesn't have too brilliant mids (even Totti is oftenly used as a forward, which is strange). And the strikers aren't the best either, face it.

Tacchinardi and Zambrotta are the best Italian mids at the moment IMO, followed by Fiore when he behaves.

Beckham is so over rated. He only has a really good cross and excellent set pieces but other than that, he can't run as fast as Zambrotta, and definitely doesn't have his stamina and work rate. Zambrotta is currently one of the best wingers in the world (the best in Italy since Donadoni) along with Joaquin.

Yeah, he is But in crossing only, He can make the best Crosses in the world nothing more IMO.
Much as I hate to be defending Beckham, here goes. Yes, his major contribution is in his crossing, and yes he can neither tackle nor dribble, but his stamina and work-rate make him a valuble asset for England. Don't let the hype convince you that he isn't any good.
