I too have never been turned on by the Boyish charm of DP, and his football has, although proficiently above average and consistent, never thrilled me.
I would take the fewer magical thrilling years of Baggio and Platini (these are the ones that I saw more closely) over the many good of Ol' Lovely Eyes. They were indeed great world footballers and great Juventus players, whereas Alex is a great Juve player alone.
To say we should end the argument there is, of course, balderdash.

IMO you cannot expect from every single Juventus fan to like Del Piero the most.
To me every Juventus player is the same (well, except Balzaretti) and I support Juventus as a group, not just for one player.

I never insulted him because he gave everything to Juve. It is my choice who my favourite player is.
