And Baggio people would happily argue that what Baggio did in 5 years was more influential and fantastic than what DP has done in any of his 5 years at Juve.
We wouldn't have won the CL in 1996 without Del Piero. He played very good in the campaign and he had that immensely important free kick goal vs Real Madrid in the semi finals. Del Piero has been Juve's greatest of all time when it comes to producing the goods when it matters most. He's a decisive player.
Without Platini we wouldn't have won the 1985 CL-final against Liverpool, and we probably would've been knocked out by Bordeaux earlier on. Also take into the consideration the beautiful goals he scored, his technical finesse and the fact that he won three Ballon d'Or during his time with Juve.
There is no doubt Baggio was influential for Juventus, and contributed greatly to our early to mid 90's success. He was a fantastic player, and my first idol in the world of football, and had a goalscoring ability given to him by the Gods.
Boniperti and Sivori were before my time, but I've always been interested in finding out more about what they did for us. Sure, there were different times, but I'm totally convinced that we had - in these two - two of the greatest players of all time. Watching clips of games from the late 50's and 60's and what they managed to do on a football pitch fills me with awe and pride.
What I'm trying to say is: These players, who contributed much to the success of our club, the most important thing after all, were different in their styles. Unique players whom we wouldn't have been the same club without.
I think it is wrong to argue that there is "one certain truth" in this debate; that there in fact IS an ultimate no. 10 through the ages at Juventus, when in fact; there were many.
Who received your vote deserved it, no matter which one of these you opted for.

The fact is current Juve fans think Del Piero is our all time greatest, so get over it or just come back in about 20-30 years, then I wanna talk to you...
When we'll be tied with losers like Inter 1-1, u'll be like oh where's Alex to save our asses again
And this thread is about Juve's greatest # 10, so think what this players did for Juve and ignore their career in general, then u should see that the guy made our day so many times...

I have seen many games and many players over many seasons, but I struggle to remember a season when Alex was our best player: please enlighten me: perhaps this is the season you might say and you might there have a point to make.
As you are not "talking" to me for 20-30 years I'll guess I'll just have to wait for your reply.

How can any real Juventino say that he has not been our best player? He IS our best player consistantly over the last 13 seasons. His every apperance is watched in awe & appreciation by Juve fans grateful to Ale for staying with us when leaving was the easy option. We love him because he is one of us. He has come through so many difficult situations - taking Baggio's shirt, the 98 injury, the death of his father, jibes about not being as good as "the old Del Piero", the Crapello years, calciopoli. Through all this his love for Juve remains intact. None other than Diego Maradona says he is better than Zidane. He is not only our best player but a true captain & bandiera, which the club would have been lost without this summer. Shame on you.

Which seasons are you meaning? For instance 2006: is this one or the last. If it is the last then I would say Buffon and Canna were the better players. The rest I need to know which season before replying.
As for Maradona, well much as I admired him as a player I do not take his utterances to seriously. All but the most ardent DP fans would acknowledge Zizou as the better player, and for sure when they shared a field ZZ outshone DP.
