but when you criticize one of your best player like this, it's just unfair. even if you do say some good points about Trezeguet, I just think you both are too critical.

Paul, I know I rarely see games, but I did see some games. And I know how many he score, + saw his goals. isn't enough? I mean, goals is the most important thing after all.

Oded, it all depends really on what you want from a striker. You might be happy for him to just bang in 20 goals a season. Personally I want a bigger contribution to the team than just scoring 20 goals. I want to see him play a part in goals, creating stuff for his teammates, working hard off the ball and showing good hold up play and all round technique.
Trez IMO is just a plain goalscorer with no extra talent in particular. The other thing is that he often falters against good defences, yet scores loads against the weaker tema. Is this co-incidence or is he simply not a top level striker?

As regards to Paolo, it is clear that we look for different aspects coming from a striker. While Oded and I seemingly are appreciative of Trez's contribution, you are not. But I still hold the thought that soring 24 goals in 1 season and being top scorer is a very big thing in a striker's career, and you cannot take that away from trez.
So you're making a point that if a striker is left to score a simple goal or left with easy finishing touches, it's nothing great and not worth the contribution to make him a world class striker???
As stated before inthe previous posts, I believe that it takes a great amount of skill to keep moving inside the opponents box to free yourself and latch on to those tap ins. It may not be as impressive as dribbling past several players and scoring, but it gets results and contributes a lot to the club's success.

whats the fifference...well actually there's a very big difference in that thousands of palyers wcould have scored trez's goal, but only a very small handful could have scored that wonderous ZZ goal. Trez goal was laid on a plate for him , like 99% of his goals are!! Zidane's was pure genious and all down to him!
