Yea I'm sure these others I will probably look at hehe. Although these are the parameters besides good long term reliability, good mpg easily 30ish combined has to be utilitarian back seats, preferably hatchback if not nice back seats and good size truck. Also has to be fun enough to not let me get bored after a few years. Hence why the GTi and Focus ST are on top of the list the reason I added all of those others is because I have a lot of time so why not sample all the buffet lol

Sounds to me the Subi WRX is the car for you - not much more expensive than the Focus ST or the GTI and the gas mileage is close enough too (not as good but but you have the added thrill). Plus there is the superior awd system and engineering.
They no longer have the wrx hatchback for 2015, though, so you may have to go with a 2014 model or wait for the 2016 one (something tells me they'll bring it back by then )

I used to have a VW Passat, it was a great first car. Had it for 9 years and drove the hell out of it for 70K. Thank goodness for it because it probably saved our lives a couple times @ßöмßäяðîëя

depends which country we are talking here.
In the US, assuming very good condition for a 10+ yo car and some bells and whistles attached (premium wheels, leather, spoiler, premium sound, etc), I'd say $6000, give or take, would be a fair "starting" price. Would only consider buying such a car, however, if are talking from a sole, adult owner. You have a far better shot at getting a well-maintained, well-cared for car that way.
You don't wanna be buying high-mileage sports car from a guy who's the 3rd owner and just started shaving 2 weeks ago, so to speak.
