But in Paris despite the rep of scenic city, like 7/10 peeps you met were unbearable asshats. Sometimes stereotypes are so fucking true And my friends and family allways tell me I'm too positive and accepting, and see the silver lining in anyone I meet or places I visit. But Paris defenitely rubbed me the wrong way.

Parisians are rude and obnoxious, but at least it's obvious for everyone to see.
Swedes and Norwegians however are pretty hypocritical, when you meet them abroad. It's supposed to be all Scandi charm, but in reality they feel high and mighty and better than the rest of the world. Of course it doesn't help that to them everything is cheap if they wander outside Scandinavia.

Tend to open up more in overseas travels for sure. But not suprised you notice some of the attitude of air of importance, generally polite and chill exterior, but have been indirectly bred with from childhood best most functioning society in the world. So that will have some kind of effect on simple minded people.
The cheap part must be Norwegians, everything so insanely pricey in Norway that they defenitely point out the difference. Their whole economy supplemented with oil gains. So they get more salary then their neighbours, and hence everything costs more there.
Buying a regular pizza in Oslo was like fine dining meal price lol.

What bothers me a bit is that people always seem to take personal credit for their society. I mean, yes, in some aspects Swedish and Norwegian society probably does function really well and that's great. But that's hardly a personal achievement. Maybe being grateful about it would be better than being smug. Whenever I see Norwegians in Italy (and you'd be surprised how many Norwegian cars you see there despite the distance) they look like they're in the zoo looking at animals.
At least the Swiss are proud of being cunts.
