storms and snow have always been a thing in the northeast. When I first moved here in March of 2004, there was nearly a foot of snow, took some getting used to. And it’s always been cold af in winter.

On the East coast, we've had several mild winters in a row now, with limited snow. It's possible it changes this year. On the West coast, they always get some form of crazy weather, and it's not surprising for the mountains that face the Pacific to get 5 feet of snow with some of the heavy systems that come ashore combined with the upsloping effect. The real story recently has been the December tornado outbreak in the Southeast, which is highly abnormal. But that can be attributed to the massive troughs digging through the country to create serious cold slamming against hot and humid airmasses, which is more of Spring-like pattern.

Where you at in Europe?

It takes a lot of prerequisites here to get a massive snow storm. But it is fun.

This one was the craziest I can remember. Feet of snow from GA to NH. Perfect slow track all the way up the coast, doesn't get better than that.
