Go to an outlet mall they will for sure have a Columbia or north face store, but then you will look like your typical norcal dude. This is one of my favorite brands for outdoor gear

Yea there is an upscale outlet mall close by. Makes more sense to go there and try on a jacket before buying.
I just avoid the place because hordes of Chinese tourists are literally bused in on a daily basis to find brand name shit they can't get at home. have no quarrel with the Chinese but goddamn they have zero sense of walking 4 across, slowly, and blocking an entire sidewalk/ aisle or standing in the doorway of a place of business.
I've heard many of them are told its actually a part of San Francisco by their tour guides too lol.

Get a North face rain jacket and a wool coat (not from outlet, brands specifically make lower quality merchandise for outlets). If you have both, that's all you need.
