I've read a dozen or so of his books translated into English. He's a great writer. I have never understood how people can dismiss the achievements of artists/writers/musicians/etc due to political views and personal life (and much worse with SJW retards, on gender and ethnicity). Not to mention, Handke's views were more about the human condition, the value of the struggle in life, and the
fact that war crimes and atrocities being committed were not just a one-sided thing during that conflict, or any conflict.
It was the same deal with Casey Affleck winning the Oscar the other year for his great performance in
Manchester by the Sea. Right during the #metoo #believeher bullshit. He'd been accused of sexual harassment years prior and settled without any admission of guilt, and the sheer number of feminists and dumb actresses throwing tantrums about his nomination and eventual win was nauseating. Brie Larson even refusing to shake his hand after presenting him with the oscar, the dumb bitch. In this case he hadn't even been found guilty of something.
