How difficult is it to get around someplace like Japan if you don't know the language? I imagine it's more difficult than a country where the written language is based around the Latin alphabet.

And most Japanese don't speak english or are too shy to do so, but you can definitely get around just fine with the help of a celly

Good point. Not once (me a vegan lol) but i am surrounded by folks going on about unsustainibility of beef etc and these meat alternatives are popping up all over the place.

It seems like a very string trend but yea i live in a part of countrt that is not representative.
