1700 SFR (something like 1450 Euro) for my 2 room-flat (something like 40 square meters I think). What is actually a good deal for the area I'm living (hipster area with lots of Cafés and Bars).

Actually very comparable to Copenhagen (A bit more expensive in Zürich), despite Denmark having rules and relegations, that prevents rent going thru the roof (on soem property).

I think you can get a very fancy place in Antwerp for 1450. That seems incredibly expensive.

I think you can get a very fancy place in Antwerp for 1450. That seems incredibly expensive.

We are in extreme shortage of housing in Copenhagen. A simple 60 square meter flat is easily close to 300.000€. A room (~10 square meter) for a student goes for around 600-700€

If you have insurance, you don't have to worry about anything. I had to pay $100 for an appendix surgery which is nothing. My mom paid nothing for a surgery she had to get. Insurance covered it all. It's when you don't have insurance that it becomes a problem.

I racked up a pretty steep medical bill once in college for a lengthy ER visit and some stitches.

Didnt die of any preventable infections and didnt go into crippling debt either. Paid about 75$ in total.

Actually a lot of insurance is shit. Too expensive or when affordable there are high deductibles limited options, forced to stay within network etc.

The way to get good insurance for a good rate is to buy insurance through your employer
