Not if he looks like one of your maids.

In the past, yeah.

That's going to blow up unless you diffuse it. Keep at it and you might catch yourself sabotaging it. And in general, I prefer to think it's better when you're in control and make the calls.

And she deserves to know it too. Don't waste her time either.

You guys ever felt like your relationship was holding you back?
Basically I feel like I'm living a married life. But I have no intention of getting married anytime soon
I was feeling like this a while ago. Then for whatever reason I couldn't see my girlfriend for 3 weeks and that's when I realized how much I loved her and missed her.

Needless to say, I spent a lot of time with my mates during that period (I really needed it) but I also felt something was missing by the end of those 3 weeks.

What's that supposed to mean though? You want to check out other girls or what?

what does a married life feel like? @King of Kings
Wow.

I can't remember the last time anyone has asked me that. I can tell you that takes a lot of work and a lot of patience in a marriage. There are going to be days where you are googling the best divorce attorneys in the region.

But when you marry someone, you marry them not because you want them to be a part of your life. If you want things to be a part of your life, get a dog. You do it because you can't ever picture yourself without that person. You envision having children with them, growing old with them, dying in each other's arms.

The thing with being married, for me, was the feeling that I can no longer just do for me. That it was no longer all about me. And that's a hard habit to break. It is probably why I didn't get married until I was 31. You find the right person, though, and you realize that it isn't as hard as it seems. You give up everything of yourself even easier, and more freely, once you have a child.

Jeez, you're making it seem like 31 is an old age to get married. Congratulations tho, sound like you found the right one

She is not up to do whatever you like to do?

Shouldn't be too complicated to do it with her or without her, whatever it is you feel is holding you back. Aslong she isn't insecure enough to take it wrong if you do it without her.

Hey, I'm married too now!

I also happen to be drinking some sick vanilla/rooibos brew, it is dope!
How is it like being newly married?

Also do me a favor, make sure you keep in touch with your single / non married friends lol.

I don't know why some newly married peeps turn into robots, suddenly set their friends nearly aside, and suddenly have time for married couples mainly lol.

Feels good. Like being in a relationship, but better.

Congrats Martin. You're a Sydneysider now, right?
Yeap, rest of my life eating avocado and staying out of the cancerous sun.
