I don't mind them actually, just can't help thinking it will be a great hassle having to be dependent on them. Today I couldn't read what the guy was writing on the board (been a while since i was at a class in which someone was using the board) and have had trouble lately reading the menu boards from afar.
Works wonders for me.

I only know many kids/teenagers love to wear glasses to feel like grownups. My mom always wanted to wear them when she was a teenager so she faked having eyesight problems but the doctor realized she was lying (because she pretended she couldn't see even the biggest signs) and told her he had to remove her eyes altogether, so my mom had to suddenly get her eyesight back

Sorry to hear that. But then I know a lot of people who ultimately need them at some point anyway due to near vision for reading as the eye ages. So it was probably something you weren't going to escape anyway.
But if you can keep your teeth from falling out, you generally should be able to care for your eyes with contact lenses.
To what X said, lasik is pretty common and very successful too. My wife got it years ago. But then as she got older, her near-vision for reading started to get a little wonky too. So again, still can't really escape the glasses thing yet.
I agree with this. Physically things aren't as flawless as they were when you were 20. But mentally and emotionally it can be a very different story. It's interesting now to work with people in their early-mid-20s who are bright, near their physical peak, and eager in the world ... but you can see how little they have life figured out yet. Not that I've mastered life by any means, but you recognize the great progress you've made since your mental and emotional capacities as a 25-year-old.
I have to wear glasses soon 
I have seen my sister using them for years, i don't think i'm disciplined enough for them though, you know, don't sleep when wearing them, wash your hands before using them, change them every once in a while, too much

Regression to the mean is the best thing that has happened to me with age I was a very extreme person in the things I loved and the things I hated, especially because i was in the process of quitting my religion and I was angry at so many things. I used to write a blog when I was 20, and every time I want to suffer I go back and read my posts I was so ridiculously passionate about everything. What I like about my blog is that while we tend to forget how we used to be and what mattered to us the most in the past, that blog is a testament to all that
