What's wrong with the accent of young Americans? As long as I'm at school the only Americans I get to talk to are professors and their accents are amazing, exactly what I have always known of American accent from the movies and exactly why I have always preferred American accent to British accent (unlike most of other people). But whenever I step out to explore the city and see people, first thing which instantly turns me off is young boys and girls' way of talking. It's like they keep asking questions even when they are not asking questions. It's like listening to Kardashians giving an interview. It's so horrible I prefer listening to people speaking English with Chinese, Indian and Iranian accent :sergio:

It's not just young Americans speaking English. A lot of the Chinese here who speak Cantonese always seem to end their sentences with a question in their vocal inflection.
