@Red a question about Aberdeen - Glasgow looks like a Yes whitewash. Not just the turnout today and at the weekend, but people about with stickers and badges, with 'twibbons' on their facebook picture and posters/signs in car and flat windows everywhere you look there are Yes signs outnumbering No by 5 to 1.

How does it look in Aberdeen?

Aberdeen will be close and my guess is that it'll probably closely mirror whatever the overall result is.

That's not based on a great deal - just a gut feeling.

I take it as a scot you hate this movie (the world thinking its an authentic telling of scottish history lol)

I don't hate the film.

I don't even hate that people think that it's true.

It's very useful when you are listening to someone who clearly thinks it's true as it means you can instantly stop listening to them on the grounds of them being an utter cretin.

To be honest, I've been studiously ignoring the activities of both sides because of my dislike of pretty much everyone involved. Don't want current personalites to affect my judgement on a long-term decision.

Hell, I think Salmond is a prick and I it's unfortunate how prominently he will feature in Scotland's history is there is a 'yes' vote.

I know 'Yes' had something down at the Castlegate the other week, but don't know much of what's gone on beyond that.

I've just been pleased the Aberdeen FC support has stuck to it's tradiational non-political position and has not expressed a collective opinion one way or the other, unlike what has gone on at Ibrox and Parkhead (though judging by the AFC fora, Dons fans are heavily pro-Independence).

There's always been a political/religious element to Celtic and Rangers support and I don't think that can ever really be removed for better or worse.

Things don't 'suck'.

That's not to say that Scotland shouldn't have ambitions to improve things, though.

The general establishment undoubtedly needs a shake up and they are getting that no matter what the outcome of the vote is.

If it's a 'no' vote and things aren't handled properly, we'll just end up back here having another referendum 20 years down the line, so there is pressure on Westminster to avoid that with what they give Scotland in the event of a 'no'.

But that will then cause an issue in the rest of the UK when people in other areas think they aren't getting as good a deal as Scotland.

Easy to see a 'no' vote being the first step towards some sort of federalism.

I've no doubt, if a coherent republican movement could be put together, and if we'd have another referendum, we'd vote YES as well.
