The issue is that McDonald's used to just be for kids in school working summer jobs and such. Now with half of the U.S. economy's middle class jobs vanishing, you now have family breadwinners working the same jobs and muscling out all the "kids".

It's kind of f'ed up. I understand why it's happening, but McDonald's shouldn't have to fix why none of these overqualified blue collar workers can't find better jobs to support their families.

I get what you're saying, but you also know the minimum wage should be $10/hr at least too.

To be honest, I really think it should be $13.oo, but being a capitalist Jew, I can't say that or the Torah will burn my bed while I'm in it (The Torah smokes Kools in bed after we bang).
    I don't disagree with you.

The UK's minimum wage will be better than the US's, but even it should be higher, and should be higher still for people living in more expensive places like London.

I don't disagree. But the people on strike are looking at the problem all wrong.

I bet you their former union wages that they want $15/hour for U.S.-based jobs, and then they summarily spend all their wages buying up the cheapest shit at Wal-Mart to make the Chinese wealthy and thus send their very same precious $15/hr jobs overseas. :sergio:

    Dumbasses....

I may be a pinko lefty according to Andy, but I have my limits of self-inflicted stupidity.

lol just googled it. they want $15/hour  fucking retards.
While I agree minimum wage should be higher especially in areas with a high cost of living, if they get $15 an hour everyone else's wages would have to be adjusted too or else people would start to complain why the guys who work at McDonald's are making more than them.

Let's not give poor people money because they'll waste it. Solid mindset Greg.

    Where are you from?

In New York city, secretaries make 90,000 a year, $15/hr is about 30,000 an hour.
