location tips? but what you want to do there? if you wanna have some fun and nice clubs, then visit "Kölner ringe" this is the main place with pubs, clubs, bars etc...

And no, not clubs or pubs, allways easy to find downtown areas with such. Just corious about the hotels/hostels that are nearest to Fühlinger See, going to summerjam festival, and been put in charge of finding accomodations by lazy friends, they dont want to camp in festival area like most others, and not sure how far Fühlinger See lake is from Köln city area/hotels, but interested in finding something basic thats not too far from the area.

Oh Sören I already checked up hotels/hostels on Köln in another site Just wanted a locals know how about the travel distance and which one is most practical to the lake area the festival is at.

Nice thanks, thats what I wanted to know, will check that area up specifically, since 15 kms is rather far to travel every morning/night for 3 days.


I dont really care about accomodations quality, couldnt care less if it was just a spartan room with floor bed (prefer camping, but others dont), most important is that hostel itself isnt too far away.

Ffs! I played a football tournament in Köln once, but it was 18 years ago We lived in a nice hostel by a lake, just outside of the city.
