Sitting in the office, work is slow today. Camping trip tomorrow organized by the boss to bring the whole team together, just half an hour north of Montana. It's always fun seeing co-workers on the weekend, specially the boss, because I never see them enough during weekdays

So true. Like it isn't enough to suffer through your coworkers every day in the office, they have to fuck up your weekends too.

Damn. I have only had one job where we pretty much all got along well enough that we socialised at night and on weekends, almost exclusively. That place was a massive love-in, with over five couples who met there, including myself and James.

A lot of people have worked in those environments -- especially when they are younger and have no family attachments. Problem is that businesses are designed to get stuff done, not be social playhouses. So many offices are organized with getting stuff done in mind, and they also want to believe they're all potential massive love-ins as well.

And comedy ensues because in most offices, that misguided, wishful thinking isn't even possible and you just make some of the employees resent each other more.

Add to it, I am in charge of Friday's supper. I prepared the meat last night, enough time to be marinated. Hopefully it won't be a disaster, which I doubt that would matter, since many will be probably too drunk to tell the difference

Contemplating the idea of writing my autobiography. Just thinking about some of the stuff that I'd probably write about brings tears to my eyes. What a strange feeling!
