People luv novelty, even if it's crap. How else can you explain people shelling out as they do for kopi luwak?
I haven't tried it, but the idea of drinking coffee that has been vomited up by a monkey is kinda fun! If tastes like the standard south east asian coffee I wouldn't mind it, as i've said before. As Ben Goldacre argues - 'I personally view it as an idiot tax'.

I love south east asian coffee, the taste of vietnamese coffee (as with Green Curry) will always been a nostalgia trip for me. I've had it twice since I got back and its an amazing, distinct taste - which i view as seperate to the european coffee standard.

Where do you stand on Robusta vs. Arabica vs. Robusta & Arabica? I lik 60% Arabica 40% Robusta or straight arabica.

Back home and as usual up on the roof for a 2 am cig :D

Here's the situation, at dinner a few hours ago my family was happy that i decided to leave delhi for good because they thought i would move to Brighton with them. That came as a shock to me because all i ever said to my mum was i'd like her to stay with me for a year or so since ive been away from family since i was 17. I wanted to tell them about my plan of moving to china (AGAIN) but didnt want a big fight on my first day back home :D

Since my dad's death my big bro has been the man of the family, he got all serious and what not and i never really feel comfortable talking to him. His leave ends in a week so i think i'll wait for him to go back to brighton and then break the news about my china plans :D

Man this is so screwed up, i should have thought this through. I should have slowly given it a build up because this will be so fucking random for them :sergio:

Entirely so. But there it's all about paying for the novelty.

South India coffee is the same way for me. I tried making it at home with the top-shelf ingredients I'm used to using when I go Euro-style (or NoAm style), and it was one of the worst cups of coffee I made in my life. There's something too it, even if it doesn't fit the confines of rarefied, pristine ingredients and handling.

Straight A or typically about a 90/10 A-to-R.
