They have only for common areas in the apartment. They are planning to cover the rest of place in the coming months though, which is a relief. I got a UPS, so I've power supply for the internet for at least two and half hours. Since this place is on the ground floor and is surrounded by buildings, there's little to no air supply. All that is going to pass hopefully. Third floor here I come :touched:

 I hope it works out somehow. :D
Me too :nervous:

oh my! tell them you'll visit brighton twice a year or something
I already do that, thing is they think i got used to this life, living alone without any restrictions and stuff. They think i need to get used to living with the family or quit my bachelor life. I had to work hard to diffuse my marrige topic :D

Brighton UK? Dude, if it is, that is one of the best cities on the earth - def the best city in the UK!
Yep. I love that city too, i would love it even more if their summers lasted for more than 15 days or if at least half of the city was straight :D

Power has been out for almost two and half hours here. I freaking hate summers :(
Banngawhore sucks! Move to Maharashtra :D no load shedding, if they cut your power they have to pay you for the time it is out.

And stop popping pills for every headache man,be an indian, embrace the pain.

It makes me so sad to see beautiful, intelligent young women spouting out shit like "When I get married, I will be subservient to my husband, the Lord says so".

I hope she gets married to a very unpleasant, violent man who loves sandwiches and anal sex.
I don't hope anything that bad happens, but it's a valid point! Then people get into the mindset of thinking this is what God has chosen for them, or that it's their fault that their husband acts this way. I understand wanting to not be selfish in a marriage, but at the cost of your own self? No thank you.

just got myself a new suit, feeling fly. no feeling induced by spending quite gives you the satisfaction of a new suit. :weee:

is it alright if the woman simply believes it's what she needs to do. not divinely inspired, but just because she feels like it?

because she believes in "traditional" division of roles in the household. i've stumbled upon this quite a few times, last time with that moroccan lady who wanted to get married. she wanted me to get a job and provide, and she would stay home and do all the rest - her demand.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to stay home while the husband provides - this is about considering yourself to be less of a person, and your husband to be better than you. You can be equals and still perform different roles. It doesn't always happen that in these situations there is that lack of self-worth, but that is what this girl is preaching. She is saying she has no right to ever criticise her husband, only he can do that to her. It only breeds contempt and depression.

I had a friend in college who was pretty intelligent but had decided she would be a housewife. I once told her I thought that would be a waste of her talent and the money she was spending in school. She said that while he understood my point, she was brought up that once a woman was married her place was under her husband. Pretty arcane thinking. I merely replied that I preferred my women on top or in front.

Which is the right thing to say in these situations :D
