My interest is like 18% and my shits are "subsidized".
I had no idea student loans were that horrible in the states. It's the best loan possible in Denmark. People take it even though they have money enough to study just because it's a very affordable way of getting money for investing.

1.5% while I'm studying and then it's 2% + the national interest rate after I'm done lol.
Mine is only affected by inflation (~3% a year) and you don't have to pay it back until your salary reaches around $50k a year. A small percentage gets taken out automatically once you start earning that much. My parents said they'll put in $1000 a semester too :weee:

Cool. The longest plan for paying back for me is something like 15 years, 300 bucks every other month.

No tuition fees for Scots studying in Scotland. :weee:
No fees for Danish students, I just took the loan because I'm too lazy to work and my 500$ / month scholarship isn't covering expenses :p

You guys are soooo lucky! I got to pay 6000+$ a year. And right now I'm in debt for 21 000$ because of student loans...and I'm only in my third year.
At least here in Canada its not as bad as the US...

I know right! Sometimes I wish I lived in countries like Denmark, Sweden etc. Canada is whore.
It's really great here, if you can live with the racist 12% of the country :D . Oh, and you need to be prepared to pay 40-60% income tax, depending on how much you make. The more you make, the more you pay :p

That makes no sense. How are you supposed to get any revenue by enforcing higher tax rates on the most wealthy parts of your country?:D

What are the jobs paying that you are applying for?

I think I will get around 1.400 euro every month after taxes :D
but I don't have to pay back a thing before januari 2015 probably :D.
so by then I might earn even more then now.

the interest per year is probably 1%
so i will act like I need to pay back already and put that at a saving account which give me at least 2% and then if I have to start paying back I probably have a whole lot already.
