:klin:
the eiffel tower is such a buzzkill

looking at it right now from my window.
Overall the people are pretty crummy. but i'm not saying there aren't any nice parisians. I've met many of them who show me around and have been very friendly with me.

Hear that, I didn't want to go but my mates were going back to India the day after and really wanted to go and see it. I love going to the Louvre when im over but they didnt want to go :(.

It is pretty iconic though. The one thing I hate is the Paris Metro. The maps don't make any sense. I found the Beijing underground easier to navigate where the pinyin names vary between maps.

A lot of Parisians are arseholes, in the same way that there are many who aren't. It is a tough city to live in, but it's not that bad.
Doesn't seem like the best review ever.

Been to Paris as a tourist, always liked it, people are nice. No idea what it's like to live there though.

I won't lie and say that it isn't difficult to live there, especially for foreigners. I find it beautiful, and I loved my time there, but it had its bad moments too. From what I heard from other students who lived on their own and whose level of French was lower, it was sometimes a bit of a nightmare.

Why are Brits so scared of spice, or rather why are food production companies so scared of giving british people spice?

I used 'Thai Taste' curry paste last night to make a jungle curry. A thai jungle curry has about 10 bhut chillies in it, it melts your fucking face. I ate it all the time when i was in thailand and things of a similar heat pretty much twice a day for 3 months. I come here and i would say that the paste is weaker that a red curry paste. THE FUCK. I just had some of the left overs with salad for lunch and my mouth isnt even warm. eurgh.

Thats because they have a hidden agenda that isn't so hidden.

Wouldn't live there myself, like my friend from there says, too many tourists.
That's the main problem, a lot of the locals feel they are a nuisance but forget how they stimulate the ecomomy by being annoying.
