Carrying such emotions is gonna affect the kid. What he needs is to release the emotions and find closure. Sure, time may heal the wounds, but it will affect his brain.
Of course it will affect him, but shit happens to everyone, and no more energy or time should be spent on this person who so clearly does not deserve it. It's a mark of a very immature and classless individual who would retaliate against their ex-partner in that way.

Or, you know, just moving on works too.
I side a little more with Kate here. Depends on the person, perhaps. We know Sergio's story. But I'm of the mind that success is the best revenge, which excludes anything having to do with her.

Hate isn't the opposite of love. Indifference is. Dat beeeyotch ought to be beneath his concerns, not a primary focus of them.

But dealing with such thing with inaction is not manly. Portrays the man as a weak person. Men can't be like that. That would be like inviting every future girlfriend to piss on him, cos she'll know he won't do a thing and just "move on". He can't just let any girl walk over him like that. Dude's gotta fuck that bitch good, fuck her hard, fuck her all the way, fuck her till death! Cos that's what real men do!

No, it's what weak men do. Who can't get over it.

It's just like Alvin spamming the forum with porn. Can't just let it go, so he's desperate to show people how much he hates (read: cares about) the forum.

Send her pictures of you jacking it over her pics.
Now that is a good idea!

Damn, sorry for your friend.
Me too :(

There have to be better ways of handling this than the infantile. You're doing the right thing.
At first i was pumped up as well but when i came home i realised we were not young and in university life anymore, and this aint china. Leaking out naked pictures ends really really bad,I know :D

But i am still open to suggestions on how to make the bitch pay.

Aah yes... cheating girlfriends... the epsilons of the dating world. Go fuck that bitch hard and good!
Maybe after my friend gets tested :D

Btw,im with sheik on this one. I wouldn't just leave the girl in peace and move on,neither will i let my friend do that. We will get back to her with vengence but im against making a public scene or something like physically hurting the girl.

But she has to pay.

I'm at my mother-in-law's place and one of my best friend's in the world is coming up any moment. The guy is a brilliantly successful guy in his own right (head of surgery for a county medical center) but is an absolute train wreck with some of his romantic choices. He's had a marriage that surprisingly lasted about 8 years, but that was his second. And his last girlfriend he got serious about?

Well, when he broke it off (partially because she stopped taking her meds), she broke into his apartment, broke every piece of furniture, stole some 30 shirts of his, got on his FB account and messaged a bunch of his friends about how he's slime, etc., etc.

Believe me. There comes a point where it's not just about "being too old for this shit". There's a point about keeping your personal dignity and the people around you. Both she and he ended up looking like immature idiots because of it.

Real men, Sheik, are dignified. Not tyrannical teenagers with the emotional maturity of Kim Jong-Il.

I was talking about you, not him. She's cheating on him. So might as well take advantage of the situation and bone the girl. You can always blame it on her if your friend ever finds out. :D
I know, that's why i said i would wait for my friend to get tested since the girl has been sleeping around,i dont wanna catch anything you know :D

But seriously though,i would never do that. At least not with the girls my real friends have been with.

She probably already is paying; many of the people who do things like this are not very happy, and sadly they hurt the people around them. I really don't see what good can come of it, apart from making you look bad and further complicating an already hurtful situation.

That's more or less what i said/mean. We will come up with a plan that might be very harsh, but public scene is not an option.

Kate is precisely right. This women is operating from a pretty f*ed up set of codes that are bound to haunt her as a series of very bad decisions.

Revenge in this situation will probably do more to make the guy look like an asshole than anything.

Just imagine how great a world we'd be in right now if everybody was dignified and let it go to take a socially constructed moral high-ground...

People could behave however they want safe in the knowledge that the only consequence would be some douchebag being smug to themselves saying they've taken the dignified route. There's no hard and fast rule, you all seem to think you can either be weak through action OR weak through inaction, you could be both.

You have to look at the context.

There is a time that when someone hits you, you hit back as viciously and callously as you can, to deny that any such situation will exist is very Naive.

Greg, I was quite clearly mocking the whole "real men" thing. Obviously it's not the right thing to do. But quite obviously, walking away from it and letting it go is not the right thing to do either. I was clearly exaggerating with the slapping and kidnapping thing. What I meant was there has to be confrontation and the two need to have a talk about it. Simply walking away from the problem and ignoring it completely is not right.

I know what u mean kate, but its that guy and the girl in question right now. My friend has been faithful for 2 years or clubbing and boozing around women, ive seen him turn down some very attractive offers. The girl on the other hand,i never liked her and so i kept my distance from her. One big reason i want this to end in confrontation is i don't want them to get back together. I want him to go see her and tell her to fuck off.

What if the girl has deluded herself to the point where she feels no guilt or emotion for such actions. Clearly, if you're gonna be haunted by a potential action, you don't do it. It's like serial killers: if they do feel guilty of killing people, why do they continue doing it? Cos they've managed to real with guilt, or they've deluded themselves to believe that killing people is right.

So what if this girl feels OK with her actions and might not have any remorse over her actions? What then?

I know, honey, but it's out of your hands. Be what you are, and be a good friend, but you were not in this relationship, and it is not your place to punish her. You also can't do anything if he does decide to get back with her, which I sincerely hope he doesn't, but that is his choice to make too.

Then you should run even faster.
