the same applies to iraq too, although there are a lot of egyptains who moved to iraq for work and money despite the harsh conditions. i guess that in it self speaks volumes on how raising a family and being responsible financially for it is a hard thing to do.

Interesting what you say about the Egyptians in Saudi, i thought most school teachers in Saudi were Egyptian?? Or has that changed?

to be honest with u fred, i dont know about teachers bec i did'nt attent saudi schools here but i know they are decreasing in numbers now bec of the saudization of these jobs.

really??!?! so i'm not the only one who notices the snobbish attitude in them :D if u ever come to cairo i will show u how they act at the airport when there flight is in the gate next to the one heading to riyadh. i just sit and watch how they give u wierd looks as if the f****** are flying to the moon and not a nother desert in the gulf!!

egyptains biggest problem in the gulf= thinking they r the slickest creatures god sent to the gulf!!! it gets them in soooo much shit they cant handle and it gives us a horrible name.

My view on immigration has always been that the people you meet abroad from your own country tend to be "higher quality" people and often times preferable to those back home. I tend to see them as people who left home to try something, achieve something, not just sit around doing the easiest thing. And so they are more likely to have acquired the mindset and the work ethic of the country they moved to, improved themselves. Of course that assumes they're not living in isolation from society, constantly watching sat tv from home and stuff.

Right, so I went to the club with my mom, and she met some friends of hers, and told me I could go. I asked her if she needed a drink(the club was giving out complimentary Pepsi, Sprite, Whisky and beer) and she said no. But she asked me to have a beer if I'd like to. So I jumped on the chance and had some free Whisky. :weee:
