So Martin, I assume your Italian is perfect by now, but how are the Dutch lessons coming along?

My italian is perfectly uneven. Listening/reading is good, writing is a bit weak, speaking is very weak. Gonna try to practice the latter in the coming months.

Dutch is.. only just started on it tbh. Understand the basic sentence structure, only just learning the basic vocab. Once I get that going I'll try to read a book, worked well for italian.

Yeah, it's a bit of a pain doing something like... oh, I dunno, calling customer service at Tele2. I actually called them several times and couldn't figure out wtf was wrong with my order, had to get a Dutch friend to call for me and straighten them out.

Actually it's not. But it's hard to describe in English.

Closest I can get is imagine the word "out" said in a Scottish accent. Then add k before it.

I can imagine that you'd have some difficulties calling customer service & the likes, for whatever company. It's usually difficult enough to get your point across if you both speak the same language, let alone if you don't.

Yup Dutch names are near impossible to pronounce if you don't know the language. I was with a Dutch friend and I tried to pronounce all the NT names I think I only got Sniejder correct.
