Hmmmmm.... It treats both hyperactivity and lethargy? That's weird. Makes you both more relaxed and more alert? :D
it mainly reduce anxiety and increases yr alertness. i toke a course about psycho stimulants last year and apparently they all have this and differ in the side effects which range from change in urine colour ( freakish details!!) to headaches and other adverse stuff.

to break it down :D

hyperactivity of the brain-----> being in panic or fear of sth which this kind of drug reduces to make u calm.

Coool. What other kind of fun drugs do you have? :D

Psychoactive drugs are fascinating, I listened to a lecture about that once. And to think there are so many people in the world willing to be guinea pigs :D

 well i mainly tried this one which is called arcalion forte and seroxat ( i had this as a prescribition during a rough period in my life) the later helps u sleep as its an anti-depressant ( i used it once as thats the dose i needed.

its amazing but i think some people misuse it. i was surprised to know that people actually crush ritalin and snort it!!! thats insane to be honest. it has a different effect bec the route of adminstration of the drug changes. so yeah i agree with u regarding people wanting to be guinea pigs but if u use the medicine correctly it should be ok and u should'nt worry. with these kinds of drugs martin its best u ask before u get them even if they are over the counter ( here they r ovc dont know about your place) bec sometimes certain health conditions can cause trouble when u take these medicines.

p.s you should know that when ever u take any form of medicine even if its anything other than psychoactive drugs u r some kind of guinea pig the only thing that changes that is how u use the drug. :)

oh i forgot to mention the duration of use too, on the long drug medicines have there toll on yr organs and health. there fore the myth that medicine is 100% safe ( even if natural) is false.

The only thing I take is paracetamol and even then I feel bad and that I should be able to do without it. Doesn't even necessarily help.

Recently I've had serious problems sleeping, so I've done a cure with melatonin and even sleeping pills (which I only took 3 of in all).

I think that's my full drug history in the last 5 years, when I was a kid I also had asthma medication however :D

same here i dont go around popping tablets every day :D well unless i have a migraine then yeah i have to take sth for it bec its beyond painful other than that none.

did the sleeping pills work for you?? by the way if u dont feel comfortable with taking them there are other things u can do to induce sleep which dont involve popping tablets :D

p.s if u still have trouble let me know and i'll pm them to you.

i'm off now to park my ass and study for tomorrow's exam.

Well, they did put me to sleep all three times, took like an hour. And the first time I took one I slept a nice 8-9 hours, the last time only 5 hours. So I wonder if that happens over time.

What other things?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraines

other non drug induced methods :eyebrows:

i'm not sure if the effect wears off over time, but it def works if u go to sleep i dont think it has anything to do with the quality of sleep to be honest martin.
