I was talking to an organic chemistry student on the phone about private tutorial 5 min ago, and she asked me how much you charge per hour. I told her 25 fucks (instead of saying bucks ) by mistake. I was like oh no, it's 25 bucks.

I'm very good at explaining organic and inorganic chemistry. Since I'm specialized in both. also my PhD is kind of between both. I can deliver the info very well and explain it clearly, that's what my friends/customers say
I don't go to classes, and those strangers are undergraduate and not my classmates. I'm in the graduate program (PhD). Now usually many of the graduate students offer tutoring services for undergraduates students. You can post your info at website through the school, or if you are recomonded by a former student you tutored.
P.S By the way I'm lebanese, and not Canadian. This thing is considered very normal over here.

Yes i am aware of that. Also selling notes is considered rather normal there. I personally find the latter rather selfish, i mean why wouldn't you give your notes to someone else if you're already done with the course?

I have never witnessed any notes selling at all when I was undergraduates among around, even if it's a strange classmate who asked for notes. Me any friends always exchanged notes and helped each other. Tutorial service is way different situation. Now I agree that cutlures are very materialistic but not in that case. I'm not giving the student one or two hours, usualy it's around 20 hours in total almost explaining the whole thing or what they don't know the most
