Yes and you know what? At around 40 km I realized I can do as much as I did but I was close to home and I didn't want to do the same loop again. It was just lack of routes that was an obstacle.

I use my bicycle basically everyday except for two months in the winter. Before it was parked for these two months I cleaned it. And before I started again I oiled the chain.

Brakes need no service at all neither changing Just tightening the cable and that is piss easy.

The tyres are in good condition so far, I just pump them. In one year I had one puncture where I (they did it because I have two years free service) changed the tube.

Just got back from a bicycle tour, 45 km in 1 hour 50 minutes. It was windy as hell and the longest part of the trip was against wind.

what bike do you ride ? im a TOTAL newbie / roadie wannabe and am starting with scott speedster s40 (or was it s30?)

I ride a Skeppshult STC Pro, it's a Swedish brand and my bike is classified as Touring bike. Your Scott is fast.

But I'm horribly slow. I am ok doing (what I consider to be long but not for cyclists lol) long rides but am really slow, so I've been going to spinning classes for the whole cadence thing.

You should take the lead sometimes then, instead of following the slipstream.

Its not bad then, even when I'm in shape i cant run more then 6km, after that I'm just pushing it. While i cant play whole 90 at a good tempo. I think I breathe wrong when I'm running, so i tire more quickly.

are u a smoker, or did u quit some time recent? u see even if u quit smoking it takes a while for yr breathing and lungs to return back to normal so just be patient and u will get there. i toke it last semester and apparently the damage caused to the lungs is reversible but it takes time its not rapid like repairing a muscle for instance.

Yeah i know, mine got back to their normal condition after more then six months. But now its not the smoking problem since in this summer it will be three years since i quit. I think the problem is the way i breathe while running.
