Glad to see you still have the maturity of a 14 year girl. Once again you're an ignorant fuck. The question was why hockey isn't popular in the south? You're answer was that the South sucks and their dummies down there.

That's a great fucking answer if you're retarded. The truth of the matter goes back 30 years. If people in the South had 30 years of hockey in their blood it would be a top sport in the South. But they don't, hockey isn't popular. It's as simple as that.

And I did say that hockey got popular mainly in the 1970's, though I've read books that say it started in the late 1960's.
I never claimed that the popularity in the South did not suffer from lack of playing throughout the entire reign of the sport. That would be stupid.

But what you did claim was recently, hockey became popular in the South, while still being hindered by temperature problems. That is incorrect.

Please read that again, and again, and again and again.

Once again. In order to understand why something is popular today you have to examine how it became that way. Hockey is popular in the North because people have played and had the ability, through finances, weather, etc, to play hockey for thirty years. In the South they've played football and baseball for thirty years.
Ohh, so before in your posts you labeled me ignorant because I claimed that during the past 20 or so years it was indeed about finance, but now you're changing your tune? Good. Because that's the truth. It is indeed about finances that hockey IS NOT POPULAR IN THE SOUTH NOWADAYS.

I could care less if you've played hockey in a desert the technology was still different when hockey was becoming popular that it is today.
It's not as big of a deal as you think. SoCal has a lot of rinks and players coming out of the region. It's not just coincidence.

The temperatures still do have a bearing on the ability to build hockey arenas on the basis of cost. The hotter the temperature the more energy is required to freeze the ice, that energy costs money. Yeah we agree that a lot of the South is poor, but that doesn't make the people slack jawed hicks. I'm from the south and my jaw doesn't appear to be slacked and last time I checked I'm not retarded.
Even if the ice is poor, they can still play. Some of the rinks I've been to around here wouldn't keep the rink open during the summer just for scrappy summer league games if it was such a direct hit to their finances.

Especially an open-door rink.

But yes, insulation costs money, just like everything else.

Fair enough. Making offensive generalization makes you ignorant whether you like it or not.

You dumb shit. I'm not the one who rags on Michigan.

You're excited to insult someone and I'm the one who needs to grow up?

You're the one who always insults things he has no idea about and gets upset when he hits the wrong vain and gets called an ignorant fuck. Sounds like you're the one at fault and you're then one who needs to grow up.
Well, I've been to the South and seen the sites, interacted with the people, et cetera.

Don't be surprised that it's a shock to people from the North, because it is, and thus why the stereotype exists. Perhaps people from WV are more used to it.

IMO, it's a crummy place, so you don't have to worry about me living there unless a job carries me into the location. You guys can live freely in your home of the brave.

    Enron, Burke,

    :lol2:

You're just like the Muslims. Man, that's funny as hell. You've gotten worked up about me insulting the south, just like Seven got the Muslims angry about his opinions on Islam. Just goes to show everybody is incredibly similar.

Hey, Mikey, Enron? Perhaps you should try Catholicism and Islam before you blast it so much. Just words of your own wisdom.
