I would definitely 100% recommend coming to Ireland on vacation (I'm being serious). Galway, the Aran Islands, Kerry, Cork, Waterford, Wexford, and even Dublin are all nice places to visit.

And that's not including Northern Ireland. The Giants Causeway up there is pretty spectacular.
Interesting.

This year is Italy, France, Switzerland

Giants Causeway is cool.

Way up north west in Ireland is quite nice. Played a couple of games of golf up there.

So how did you get into the manager game? They sent you to a seminar or you just came in one day and started?
It evolved. I was a sort of technical lead/system architect. And I had modestly decent people skills. As I was in a start-up that continued to grow, the company needs demanded more organizational management structure -- so I was promoted into it. Didn't like it for about the first 6 months, but I eventually succumbed giving it the college try. :p

Few get into management with any formal training. Fortunately I got some afterward, but a bit of it merely confirmed good practices you were already doing but didn't have the rationale why. Other times I did learn some really valuable skills. It's a journey, really. But most management training is suspect at best.

Florianópolis, easy.

Regarde
!
That beach photo of the woman in the bikini was the Travel section front page of the Sunday NY Times for that issue. That was the sign to me, like nuclear waste buried beneath Chernobyl, it would be years before I would find the place habitable by my likes again. :p
