Well I can't imagine anyone taking them seriously to begin with with those ridiculous tactics. The best they can ever come up with it seems is to get some celebrity to take her clothes off for them. Which, given this new information, one could suspect of being an ulterior motive.
They get hot girls to get naked and take pictures for them.

Wikipedia does mention that there are borrowed words from Turkish but that still doesn't explain why the accents sound similar to me. Oh well :D
To be brutal, Japanese and Chinese sound more or less the same to me. To sugar coat that statement a little might I suggest that perhaps you haven't had a lot of exposure to Slavic languages (or Turkish for that matter) that would give you the necessary audible exercise to tell them apart. I can tell you that I do comprehend spoken Polish (and transmit occasionally) and from what I've heard of Turkish (a girl in my student house is Turkish for starters) it doesn't sound like anything else I've heard.

Every language borrows words so that's no proof.

I haven't had extensive exposure to those languages but since there are a lot of Turkish people and people from the former Yugoslavia in Sweden I have heard them more than just on one occasion. But I totally understand what you're saying. People who say that all South Asian languages sound a like are out of their mind, heck even Urdu and Hindi don't sound a like.

Has anyone here ever walked into a weird ass conversation before and just kind of stood there expecting the people talking to realize you're standing there and instead they just keep going?
