Politically driven? Sure. Not on a geopolitical scale no, but social politics? Hell yes. In all of the cases that I've heard something about these guys the one thing they have in common is being social outcasts, misfits, rejected by their community in certain some ways. Ie. not getting what they want = politics. Seeking to terrorize? Indisputably.
I actually think there's a lot in common between teenagers who shoot up their schools and suicide bombers that shoot up hotel guests or blow up train stations.

The level of structured ideology behind them are very different. But the primal motivators seem very much the same.
I'll go with this, but I think Martinique is splitting hairs.

There is a difference between psychology, sociology, and "social politics."

That's correct. Most kids, not all, who end up shooting up schools also want to be recognized in some way. Like Columbine for example. Those guys thought that they would be hugely infamous after the deed and they were right. People eat that shit up and end up turning the shooters into martyrs while everyone forgets the victims.

If they would put that effort into robbing banks or something they might become equally famous and not kill so many people.

    You're a genius.
Not only that, bank robbers have often become folk heroes in ways that suicide bombers could never be.

You always hear stories of some legendary criminal on the run who the local townspeople think is pretty cool, look out for, feed, and take care of. Some weird shit human psychology there.

The only thing better than that would be Juninho and Robocarlos doing it, because they can just rip it 100MPH and Becks can't.

Robocarlos would take his normal 15 mile run up to the ball by starting in Compton and sprinting to Hollywood and smacking someone's head into Oakland.

What about the great Hollywood Shootout?

Those guys killed a lot of people, mostly coppers too.
You're example doesn't really compare to school shootings and violent rampages in general considering no one died but the bank robbers. 17 people, 10 police, were wounded.

That is anal cannon fodder for sure. :analcanon:

DB, perhaps you can shorten the process by directly tamping it up your rectum with a toilet brush and lighting a fuse.

So who wants to bet with me that Steven Gerrard invades the pitch at Old TRAMPford tonight and sprays the players with a flame thrower-type device filled with Cutaneous Anthrax? All this because he didn't get his hat trick.....
