I know in the states that when you become a lawyer you generally get an ass load of debt. How does that translate where you study? Probably much less I'd assume?
No tuition fees in Scotland and I stay at home with my folks, so I should come out debt free.

That's fantastic. A top law school in the US can get you in to between 80 and 100k in debt by the time you graduate.
Nasty.

Of my friends at Uni I think the most any of them are in debt is about £15k.

Quite a few folk run up a fair bit of debt in Aberdeen because the property prices are stupidly high because of the amount of oil money in the city.
