Classes done. Ladies fall to their knees just to pray on my weaknesses. Almost time to start the boozing. Bout to take a quick run and then get to business.

Interesting. Apparently we are going to restore some of the stones and do a "living history" presentation on Halloween (not to happy about that).

one thing that annoyed the hell out of me in college was how out of touch college professors were, it's like they live in the tenure cocoon impervious to life conditions
Yeah I had that at my other school. At Shepherd it's a real small town so it's almost impossible to escape the community, at least in my major most of the professors wind up using the community. I know Bio and Chem departments are pretty reclusive.

The best thing was last year when a prof broke down and played beer pong with us on a field trip. He said "Screw it, I got tenure bitches"!

joke in my school is anyone who did the teaching gig fulltime had no balls to cut it in the real world(talking about finance/trading)
That's what gets me.

One of my lecturers is qualified to practise law in Scotland, England and parts of the US and so could be earning seriously large amounts of cash instead of hanging around with students and earning a fraction of what she could be.

I just assume she can't cut it in the real world.

Probably, but the law is a funny thing. Not everyone who gets a law degree has the interest or want to pursue a career in law. So they end up teaching or doing some other job.
