Everyone and their mother wants their brand to be featured on social networking sites. They are so obsessed with it. Where I work at, every single brand had "be present on social networking sites" as their game plan and some of them came up with the lamest ideas
Oh, yeah. It's like freaking AOL all over again. Instead of the old days of "Keyword: Pepto" it's now "Find Pepto Bismol on Facebook!" Yes, so I can post regularly on my wall about how overjoyed I am to down your pink, sickly liquid so that my insides stop spraying all over my bathroom walls.

There's going to be a backlash against this at some stage. You can't be Coca-Cola and keep telling people not to go to your web site, but instead to your Facebook page, your Twitter feed, your YouTube channel.... that's ultimately putting your destiny in the hands of other companies.

That's why you gotta have a fan. Even with the AC on in our house my room is always hot so went and got a fan.
I remember once when I was a complete cheap ass one year living in my own apartment in Maryland, I almost went a whole godforsaken hellish summer there without ever turning on the AC... just a fan.

True story. An SF mayoral candidate interrupted my lunch in the office Wednesday to make her pitch.
its really interesting since the main point made is the state is too 'political' and 'democratic' which hinders progress and and any effort to fix the budget
