Emotional intelligence is about more than influencing other people's emotions. If you think that's all it is, you're basically a psychopath. The biggest part to emotional intelligence is recognising and dealing with your own emotions.

I'm also not sure whether men are better at persuading others than women or collaborate better with one another. I do think men are much more openly competitive, while women are a bit sneakier and in my experience more often resort to sabotage.

Social skills are the ultimate tool to handle and influence other people’s emotions effectively. Hence, they could be considered the final piece of emotional intelligence (depends on how you want to see it). Men are usually better at this (Persuasion and influencing skills, conflict management skills, leadership skills, building rapport, collaboration and cooperation, etc.)

Manipulation isn’t really considered emotional intelligence. But I see what you’re trying to say.

Reading emotion is important but secondary to dealing with your own issues. It’s one of those things where men are better at some parts and women are better at others. With members of both groups sucking at each.

Those subtle differences can be easy to tell when you've seen both twins at the same time, and even then some people can't tell the difference. It's almost impossible for anyone to realize that the person they're interacting with isn't the person they know if they don't even know that person has a twin in the first place.

Don't you find it much more difficult to tell a twin apart when you see them without their twin? I have random strangers approaching me quite often because they think I'm my brother.

I wouldnt say they're necessarily better, just wired a bit differently, as in they live on the emotional side a lot more, therefore know it better. Recently read statistics about how women are more likely to get sick with depression, but men are far more likely to commit suicide if they have depression, I think it illustrates the difference pretty well.

Maybe. In all honesty I think men have it much better when it comes to sex. First of all they don't routinely run the risk of being raped, which is a huge plus. Secondly, they can do all sorts of things to improve their appeal. They can work out, become successful at what they do or sometimes even just plain rich. Age matters, but women are okay with dating men quite a few years older.

If you're an ugly woman or if you're aged over 35, there's not much you've got going for you unfortunately and you can't do a thing about it.

I have met lots of intelligent and emotionally stable women, while I have also met lots of emotionally crazy men. Unfortunately my perception of mankind as a whole is that the vast majority of us are not all that smart and are probably severely lacking in empathy too. But I wouldn't ascribe it to one gender in particular.

But wishing is a pretty fucked up thing and the results speak for themselves. The fact is passive men wish a lot, assume a lot but then they tend to date their left or right hand.

Plus, women get approached by all kinds of weirdos like drunk men in bars and nightclubs, old and horny dudes, and timid men that stutter over their words like a bitch in cocaine. I can see that being annoying af.
