I'm gonna have eye surgery on my left eye tomorrow

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corneal_collagen_cross-linking

It's apparently due to a corneal bulge. I was experiencing pain my in left eye for days and thought it was just migraine, turns out it was something completely different which I dint expect at all. They're gonna do this on my right eye too as its in the initial stages of keratoconous while my left eye is in the advanced stage. It's nothing serious but after having the surgery, I'd be experiencing a lot of pain for a day or two according to the doctor and have a blurry vision for the next 4-5 days. I should be fine within the next 7-10 days though so I'm gonna miss all the forthcoming world cup games. I'll be away for a while. See you all around soon
Best of luck, i myself am getting laser eye surgery done this coming week

In my opinion, there is a big storm brewing in Europe. Just too much happening in a short period of time to not be something bigger and more meaningful. This might be obvious, but it still surprises me how far this stuff has gone out of hand.

Italy now voted for Salvini (right wing) who has been in quarrels with the French over immigration the last weeks and basically told them to Fu#k off. Hungary is shutting their borders, Austria too. Poland is having quite som scuffles with the EU the last years. Sweden is basically fu#cked if they dont stop their negative trend of terrible integration. Citys like Malmo have now gone totally out of control with gang shootings every day and there are several completely isolated no-go zones where there is no ethnic Swedish people and police have totally lost control in several swedish towns. Then you have the Tommy Robinson incidents in the UK, which is bringing a ton of negative media attention and causing a split in the population. There are offcourse loads of these types of news popping up everyday troughout Europe. This is just the things i have read about or stumbled upon the last weeks. The development is really alarming. Its also quite hard sometimes to distinguish between political propaganda and actual news.

Personally i dont see a positive end to this, but more hate, violence, and isolated societies, if the EU continue to push for their ridicolous policies. After living in England, Norway and France the last years i see the same patterns all over, but in different scales offcourse. The outcome seems to be the same: more angry people being fed up with their politicians and less belief in the system. Surely reminds me of a political situation i have read about before, that didnt go down well in history.

Maybe im paranoid, but to me its all quite worrying.
I’m more yin and yang on this. Divides are happening because of social disruption. People are off their comfortable asses as a result of economic, political, and technological disruption. Some of those disruptions are even as seemingly benign as more millions in the world having access to inexpensive global travel.

People be clinging to an idea of the past - whether it’s the makeup of their neighborhood or their jobs. But coal ain’t coming back. Your home town is never going to be what it used to be. So you either develop a willingness to change along with it or fight tooth and nail in an ultimately losing battle - because you cannot stop the world nor time.
