Those timber cottages you build look pretty expensive, sure you can afford a new chainsaw.

If not - cut down the parfume.
A new chainsaw is $1000-$1500. I'd cry if the saw ends up being toasted after just 20 months.

That's a lot of bottles of parfum, and/or wine. :(

Is that a special chainsaw? :D

Quite expensive. But I'm pretty sure it's quite cheap compared to your wages :D
It's a bigger saw for log building. I have a small one already for timber framing and finer detail work, but the bigger saws are pretty convenient for working with logs 1-2 metres in diameter.

The higher-end big saws from Husqvarna and Stihl are pretty darn expensive now. My saw, the 372xp was $1200 plus tax. I'm hoping I can just replace the piston and cylinder for $250-$350 as the scoring on them from carbon build-up looks like the problem. A day of wages instead of a week of wages lost is much preferred :p

why do you need a chainsaw? are you a lumberjack?
Not quite so manly as that. I build log and timber frame homes.

Perfect. We had a young German Zimmermann work for us in the past for a short while. Apparently it's still fashionable in some areas to be sent on a year-long work-travel thing as a carpenter when they finish school in Germany. He even had the traditional get up, suspenders, hat and all, although he only wore it a couple times.

They are so strange. The Germans, Austrians, Swiss turn the trade into something so... insular?

Wrong company, although close to us. About an hour drive away. We're Timbersmith. Our secretary installed some update a while back and our website got nuked, so it's being rebuilt at the moment, pretty much nothing there right now. Once it's back up I'll link it here for @Dostoevsky
