Promoted to supervisor in the shop I work at. Nothing that prestigious I suppose but in this climate, an advancement in role with a bit of extra pay is a massive bonus. Ultimately I'm in it for the power though, can't wait to put some of my new staff disciplining methods into practice...

... muhahahahahahah

I remember when I got made into a supervisor at my coffee shop, you will quickly find out that all the people you work with are dickheads and you'll have to do most of the work yourself, because you are accountable - not them...but the power is rad!

Haha, thankfully I know who the dickheads are already (higher management), and I've them wrapped around my little finger I do :D

would love to run a coffee shop, only for the copious amounts of free coffee though.
I've worked as an assistant manager before so I've had a little taste of power before, and I liked it

It's just a stop-gap until I start college this summer anyway so it's all good.

The way my coffee shop operated was that the supervisor of the shift was a part of the team and not extra to the team - ie. I couldn't leave the unit to do what I needed to do and manage my team - I had to be working with them all the time. Pissed me off so much and made the last few hours of my shift a nightmare dealing with all the paperwork, closing, cashing up & delivery by myself & doing all the cleaning becuase my staff were shit.
