It's a persistent theory, and it makes some sense, but gaping hole in it is when Dolores has here little talks with Bernard who is present day. She becames more aware or sentient, goes to farm house without Teddy who is off on mission on Wyatt stuff (present day), is dragged to the barn and has flashes of MIB old guy, who is present day, before shooting the outlaw and running off until she stumbled into young William.
I get the merit of the theory for sure, but there's some things they would defenitely need to clarify or make more consistent narratively speaking before selling it. But biggiest merit of the theory is the fact young William defenitely seems to be of older days when guests felt the pain of the dud weapons.
Also the fact with the talk about the company he is involved in that talks about buying up the park, and the old MIB saying he partly saved the park in investments when he was younger. Adds up.
And the fact the host Lawrence, or Lazo, defenitely was shown in what seemed like two different time lines with MIB first, and then Wiliam /Dolores, in overall behaviour. Also would explain why MIB kept talking to him like he knows the host very well, maybe partly due to the big messy adventure young William is having with him.
