If I remember correctly, I thought that he was trying to get his contract voided.

Obviously, that didn't work out to well.
yeap, he lost his trial and still has a year left in his contract... We could get him for free after this season... :extatic::cool:

If Trabelsi's contract has only one year left
doesn't it mean that we can approach him for free in the January
when his contract has only half a year?

Ahahahahaha~~~

I don't think there's a great need for a full back right now. Zebina has had a great pre-season and deserves a chance, while we all know what Birindelli is capable of. He's not spectacular, but he does his job well and always gives his all and we don't need anything more than that.

Zambrotta is without a doubt one of the best left backs in the world (he's the best IMO) and Pessotto is a good enough sub. We'll definitely require a LB next season though, but there are a number of options available to us. Evra, Maxwell, Jankulovski, Chiellini (if he does well enough).

If Zebina isn't good enough I'm sure Moggi can tempt Miguel, Trabelsi, or Oddo to Turin. Zaccardo and Bonera are also available.

bonera :wallbang:...he cant atack or defend.

Evra...legendary.
Jank....huge variaiton in options available.
Miguel....can we afford him??
Trabelsi...ditto
oddo......average at best.
Biri...a very very very good defensive full back...very underated imo...but, right now, he isnt a first choice.
Evra's legendary?? ...gimme a break. and Oddo is much better than "average at best". now Birindelli is a player that i'd call is "average at best". agreed on the rest.

Both Oddo and Birindelli have their strengths and weaknesses. IMHO Oddo is an excellent attacking full back while Birindelli is a brilliant defensive full back. Both are quality players as far as I'm concerned.

personally i'd like to see how the current defence does before making judgements about which players we need and so on,but if we're getting a wingback i say go for jankulovski.

he's better than oddo, cheaper than miguel and classier than both.

Evra, than Zamb go to the RB
that's two strong wingbacks
Why buy a player for a position that we've already got a worldclass player for? It makes a lot more sense to buy a player for the position we are lacking in.

agreed, and as versatile as zambrotta may be i don't want him to have to adapt to the right again after settling in so brilliantly on the left,it may not work.

Even if Zambrotta could return to the right and be successful he's a world-class left back so why change his position again?

with zambrotta there, we really dont need a left back, unless of course zambrotta moves onto the left wing. maxwell i think is the best choice for left back, with evra being second. but if chiellini can prove his worth, i dont see why he cant be that player for us.

if its right back, i dont think we need an attacking play for that role. zambrotta works well now cuz nedved tends to drift into the middle a lot so zambrotta pushes up a lot more. but you really cant have that happening on the right also because it exposes the defence too much.

if its the 4-4-2 thats going to stay, then right back should be bonera. some say he cant attack or defend, but i think he has started to improve a lot lately. and he is mobile and is able to move central also. i think he would give the most balance for right back. oddo is too attacking as is trabelsi. and they are in their late 20's now also.

LB- maxwell
RB- bonera

On current form Evra and Jankulovski. Trabelsi used to be da bomb but since that transfer fiasco he hasn't been the same. Miguel I don't know at all and Maxwell I've seen once or twice, he's interesting but not that consistent is my feeling.

No, we've not been seriously linked with Evra but I do remember him saying that he'd relish a move to Turin.

i think evra was rumoured to the milan clubs and roma at one stage this summer. but everyone would relish a move to a big club in europe.
